I’ve decided to blog again because I really need to. Life’s been so bleak and stale now. If I don’t say something about my life here, I’ll just burst without having the opportunity to tell it to anyone else. Well, everyone’s busy in their own ways. None of my friends are even that free. I understand.

I don’t know why I’m so stressed out even after booking out from camp. Everyday is like this. I’ve to worry about RECALL MANNING/MOBILISATION especially. The worst thing is I can’t bring my work back home to finish it up, or else I would have done so!!!! Seriously, why can’t we just insert a thumbdrive that is 100% safe? Even if it’s not SAF’s property? Okay, whatever that stupid reason is.

This manning crap better be over FAST. I can’t wait for it to be over.

I realised this blog isn’t much of a good place to thrash out the deepest side of me. Not that too many people are reading it, but there is a considerable amount of readers though. When it’s getting too ‘public’, I feel choked to post personal details of my life. I mean really personal details. Well, I don’t see a point in setting up passwords to stonewall people away, because I don’t mind people reading it but only a few whom I really trust. So the new blog is not gonna be spread to anyone except by myself. And I trust those who know about the blog to keep it under wraps.

This blog? It will remain as it is till I find something not so personal to post about. Currently, I’ve too many issues that are too privy to thrash it here.

Booking in to civilization

Hi. I’m back. Actually I was back many times but I just couldn’t make myself sit there to type a post because that simply wasn’t part of my ‘DAILY ROUTINE ORDER’, if you get what I mean. You know how NS can change people’s lives and mess them up right? To me, I feel peevish if life doesn’t go my way. Ahh okay, I’m learning to accept changes now.

Anyway, it’s great to be back. Really. But I still miss that bloody island. Though I’ll never love that island but it’s the people that revived such reminiscences. I miss Hawk Coy now. Even though I left before them, but it’s just how amazing people of all types came to live and got stucked in the same bloody island. You gotta live in that island to understand man. It felt like a great deal of time spent there when it’s only been about 1 or 2 months?

Nevertheless, the entire system in the regiment still sucks big time.

I miss hair

I really do miss hair very much now. Well, days in Tekong were good and bad. I was fucking depressed during the first few days, probably due to immense homesick-ness and extreme living conditions – not that they made us slept on mud and shit on grass, it’s just that life in the army is totally different. Adapting is the word. And to be on an offshore island away from Singapore is double the depression, this is not all. To be living on the highest floor of the building – 5th storey, where you can see Changi Airport from there and then constantly hearing and seeing planes flying away like it’s so easy, is fucking agonizing. To put it simply, this melancholic sensation of being so near yet so far, was excruciating.

But just like what people always say - it feels very miserable during the first few days and somehow after that, things just become better. It is the transition that is hard to overcome. Anyway I’m in BMTC School 1 – ‘H’ Company, simply Hawk Coy. Anyway, I’m not describing the activities we had there because there’s really a lot. However, if you really wanna know very very very badly, I would suggest that you go sign up for army immediately and experience it for yourself. Won’t that be great?

But one thing’s for sure – it’s definitely not uncouth to use expletives and profane oaths in Tekong, because that’s how recruits are greeted at.

And then you won’t wanna know the rest of it…

Farewell from Datuk Ho

Datuk Ho says bye for now. For 2 weeks at least. Because he has to leave for a very important business trip in Pulau Tekong, to seek some opportunites there. But it won’t be an easy trip, so please pray for Datuk Ho. He will miss all of you greatly. Seriously.

Why emo over NS?!

I know its definitely sad to waste 2 years doing something not for yourself, but for the country. But I don’t think it’s that saddening right? Neither am I extremely overjoyed – I don’t think anyone will anyway. In fact, I’m more emo over life after NS, that is the real test to me because it determines my future. I would call it a turning point by then. I know some people see NS as some life-and-death separation, but what’s the point right? I’m gonna enter happily man. It’s gonna be a happy 2-years. Botak then botak lah.

But I’m gonna miss people and lots of people. That’s for sure.

Anyway, I was looking at MINI‘s website yesterday and finally fell in love with that car. I don’t think size really matters here. Plus, it’s a really fun car with very quirky yet chic interior and fully-customized colours of the car roof and body. Performance wise, definitely much better than any of its contenders stated above. MINI uses BMW engines and the MINI Cooper S is definitely its highest performance model available at the moment – pumping out 163bhp (at 6,000rpm) and 210Nm of torque at 4,000rpm, accelerating to 100km/h in 7.1 seconds. Very stunning for such a small car.

A wide range of optimisations on the engine, transmission, suspension, steering and brake system serves to further enhance that go-kart feeling so typical of the MINI. A low centre of gravity, wide wheel track, and the wheels moved far out to the extreme corners of the car guarantee extremely agile and nimble driving behaviour at all times. Go-kart rocks!!!

And not to forget the pleasant experience with the staff in its showroom at MINI Habitat. Great car with great people!

I’m back! More like I was lazy to update, that’s why. Anybody felt tremors in anywhere? Well, I thought I didn’t feel anything from the first tremors that went on earlier, but when the second one came, I FELT IT. Finally, first tremor experience in my life. Like I said to many of my friends, I’ve always wanted to experience it. Guess you can wish for bad things and it will never fail to disappoint you by coming true. But good things never come that swift and successful.

My table and lights were shaking significantly when the tremors came but thank God, it only lasted for awhile. Just imagine this – things just start shaking on its own for no reason, you would’ve thought it’s your mind playing on you or some supernatural power behind it. Obviously this has little effect as compared to the actual earthquakes which can shatter your building into a big rubble. For a moment, I don’t know how to react, to run out or what? No I didn’t, because before I could do something, the tremor stopped. Fast yet freaky.

No more tremors please!!

HAPPY CNY!

Damn sorry about the lack of updates because was too caught up with the eating and mahjong-ing. Wah, I sound like an uncle now. And Gladys’ cousin said I looked like a 20 over year old person, I’m ageing! But ironically, when I went to watch the drug trafficking film – Protege today, cos it’s NC16, the ticket booth obasan thought I was underaged and requested for my ID! TELL ME! Am I old or young?! Anyway, this year’s CNY was a sad one because I had a bad fever, which seriously spoilt my mood big time. I can’t go visiting in proper form, because I looked so damn sick!

And for some reason, I’m beginning to like those techno mixes that Tisa sent to me last time. This is B-A-D! Okay okay, they’re really quite nice though, at least not annoying techno mixes.

I feel immensely sorry for your boyfriend, cos he doesn’t even know what you’re doing behind his back. I know you’re trying to be frank towards me but this just isn’t right at all. I’m not even half as good as you think I am, neither are you any better. And it’s not as if he is neglecting you big time. You should really go search your conscience for a better judgement. Don’t drag me into your seemingly impeccable love triangle which I disregard very very much.
